Overview:
We are seeking a Utility Billing Specialist II to join one of Florida's leading educational institutions. In this role, you will support the 'Smart Infrastructure' group's leadership in achieving organizational objectives through efficient utility billing management across multiple campuses.

Responsibilities:
Manage weekly utility billing and export critical billing files to the ERP system for customer invoicing.

Create and maintain accounts, including complex chargeback, utility provider, virtual, and split allocation accounts.

Troubleshoot billing failures using custom integration logs to identify issues and implement corrective actions to ensure timely billing.

Schedule and oversee monthly meter readings upload/download via remote desktop and proprietary software.

Conduct quality assurance and analysis of read data to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Maintain bill capture workflows and escalate automation errors for resolution.

Coordinate with vendors to set up new or modified billing accounts.

Perform research and analysis of historical data for various stakeholders.

Prepare compliance reports for third-party vendors as directed.

Manage file storage and maintenance for UES Metering needs on shared drives.

Process weekly charges to field work orders for requisitions, purchase orders, and credit card charges.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.

Minimum of three years of experience in utility billing, accounts receivable, or related fields. Experience within a university or large institutional setting is advantageous.

Proficiency with financial systems and databases, particularly ERP software like Workday.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve billing discrepancies and system errors.

Knowledge of meter reading and utility billing practices, including managing complex accounts.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience with remote desktop applications and proprietary software.

Capability to conduct research and analyze historical data.

Schedule: Monday to Friday
