Job Summary:
The Student Immigration Specialist (Sponsored Student Liaison) will serve as one of three primary student focused Designated School Officials (DSOs) and Alternate Responsible Officers (AROs) authorized to perform immigration responsibilities with specific attention to students enrolled in the Center for English as a Second Language ( CESL ), all F and J Sponsored Students and other colleges as assigned. Continual evaluation of policy and procedures and revising processes to comply with various government or sponsor policies. Work to continually improve services for sponsored students. Provide tailored services and communications with sponsored students. The advisor will have the opportunity of advising sponsored international students and their dependents regarding immigration needs surrounding the maintenance of legal status including initial entry and admission. Engagement with professional development networks, resources and sponsoring agencies to keep abreast of the ever-changing immigration regulations and unique sponsored student policies.
Skills /Knowledge/Abilities:
Microsoft Office, Tableau, and Sunapsis.

3 yrs
Required License/Registration/Certification :
Eligible to obtain SEVIS certification.
Preferred Education/Experience:
Master's degree and direct experience in advising or programming for sponsored students.
