Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician

Location: Owensboro, KY

Type: Full-Service

Certification: CRCST required within 120 days of hire

Experience: Preferred

Pay Rate: $17.50/hour, increasing to $18.70/hour upon positive 120-day evaluation and CRCST certification

Note: Candidates with 2+ years of SPD Tech, Surgical Tech, Anesthesia Tech, or OR Support experience will be eligible for a pay rate above the stated base rate.

COVID Vaccination: Required

Hours: Varying daily hours, on-call rotation required

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as an integral part of the surgical team, excelling in the preparation and execution of surgical procedures.
• Uphold stringent sterile practices to ensure patient safety and efficient procedural flow.
• Manage and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are ready for operations.
• Collaborate effectively with medical staff to deliver exceptional support and service.
• Take responsibility for the cleaning, disinfection, and proper maintenance of surgical instruments.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED required; additional technical training or education is preferred.
• Proven ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the hospital to ensure rapid on-call availability.
• Availability for varied shifts and rotational weekend call shifts is essential.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
