Your Role

As a Sales Development Rep, you will be an integral part of the Americas Growth team. Being part of the team, you will work alongside KONGSBERG’S trusted salesforce to offer the best suited digital solutions to clients. You will be the first point of contact for potential clients and play a crucial role in driving our sales pipeline. You will identify and qualify sales opportunities, work closely with our sales and marketing teams, and develop relationships with key decision-makers. These clients will be on different levels in their digital journey, your goal is to set the stage for successful sales engagements by understanding client needs and demonstrating the value of our solutions.


Your main responsibility will be nothing short of extraordinary:

  1. Lead Generation:
    • Identify and research potential clients through various channels, including social media, industry events, and online databases.
    • Develop and implement strategies to generate new leads and expand the company's customer base.
  1. Initial Outreach:
    • Conduct outbound calls and emails to prospective clients to introduce our digital twin solutions.
    • Schedule and conduct initial discovery calls to understand client needs and qualify leads.
  1. Qualification:
    • Use established criteria to evaluate leads and determine their potential fit for our solutions.
    • Maintain detailed records of interactions and follow-up activities in our CRM system.
  1. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the marketing team to align on and execute lead generation strategies and campaigns.
    • Partner with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads and provide relevant background information.
  1. Relationship Building:
    • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and the competitive landscape to effectively position our solutions.
  1. Product Knowledge:
    • Develop a deep understanding of our technology and its applications.
    • Clearly communicate the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to prospective clients.
  1. Performance Tracking:
    • Meet and exceed individual and team targets for lead generation, qualification, and sales appointments.
    • Regularly report on key metrics, performance, and insights to the sales manager.


Having a background and experience in SaaS and/or the Energy industry would be incredibly valuable:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in a sales development or lead generation role, preferably in the SaaS or technology sector.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with SaaS, digital twin technology and its applications is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
