Job Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and self-starting Regional Sales Manager to drive business growth in a multi-state territory including Indiana, Illinois, Northern Kentucky, and Western Ohio for one of our manufacturing clients. Ideal candidates are based in Indianapolis and comfortable with extensive travel, averaging 75%, with the potential for overnight stays three nights per week. MUST HAVE 5+ YEARS PRIOR EXPERIENCE IN B2B SALES FOR MANUFACTURING (STEEL, ALUMINUM OR RELATED PRODUCTS).

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to grow revenue and expand into new industries.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including maintenance and operations leaders in steel, aluminum, and other industrial markets.
  • Expand customer base in core industries while cultivating opportunities in power generation, tire and rubber, cement, chemical processing, and mining sectors.
  • Schedule and conduct in-person visits, virtual meetings, and follow-ups to close sales opportunities.
  • Partner with inside sales teams to track and update customer activities in the CRM system.
  • Review and manage quotations, ensuring alignment with revenue goals.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows to promote capabilities and build brand recognition.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or a related technical/business field.
  • 5+ years of industrial sales experience, with demonstrated success in revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing, supply chain dynamics, and market trends in steel, aluminum, and related industrie s.
  • Strong technical aptitude in machining, assembly, testing, or measurement processes.
  • Effective communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills to navigate customer environments.
  • Self-directed with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to identify, develop, and close sales opportunities.

Preferred Experience:

  • Established network within industrial manufacturing or OEM sectors.
  • Track record of expanding sales in industrial markets, including steel and aluminum producers.
  • Familiarity with industrial sales cycles and customer relationship management tools.

Salary: $100,000–$120,000

Bonus: Uncapped, starting at 2% of sales
