Job Description The Postdoctoral Researcher will work closely under supervision to conduct various research projects related to Agricultural and Applied Economics.
This position is funded by a grant or restricted funds. Continued employment is contingent on the renewal of grant or restricted funding. Responsibilities: - Conduct new research projects on food systems, consumer behavior, markets and trade, and other agricultural and applied economics areas.
- Assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in smoothly implementing ongoing research projects, writing research manuscripts and progress reports, and assisting graduate and undergraduate students.
- Develop project proposals for internal and external grant funding in collaboration with scientists and faculty in the college and pursue external collaboration.
- Regularly participate in disseminating research results at professional conferences and extension meetings.
- Participates and assists in college-wide events, activities, committees, and performs other duties as deemed necessary.
Required Education and Experience: - Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics /Agricultural and Applied Economics.
- Research experience in consumer demand analysis, consumer behavior, and livestock economics.
- Experience in experimental methods, consumer surveys, and primary data collection and management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Knowledge of Nlogit, Ngene, Stata, R, and SAS software.
- Knowledge of the U.S. livestock and meat industry.
