Job Description

A highly regarded law firm is seeking an accomplished associate attorney to join their California office. We are searching for an associate with a strong academic background and experience managing all aspects of litigation. The successful candidate will have two or more years of litigation experience with a desire to defend businesses in a variety of litigation, including commercial construction, insurance coverage and defense, general liability and insurance matters, as well as other business related disputes. This is the perfect opportunity for an associate attorney looking to work from home with highly respected firm.

Qualifications:

* J.D. from an accredited law school
* Member and in good standing of the California State Bar
* 3-8 years of litigation experience in civil, commercial, insurance defense, or related business matters
* Experience in all phases of litigation including discovery, depositions and hearings, and settlement negotiation
* Highly skilled in legal research and drafting complaints, motions, briefs, memorandums, discovery, and other legal correspondence
* Superior written and oral communication skills
* Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines efficiently
* Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to think strategically
* Trial experience is welcome, but not a requirement
