My client is one of the largest universities in the US. They are looking for a Tier 1/ Tier 2 IT Support Specialist to support one of their campuses. The role is 100% on site in Oakland, CA. You need to be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
As part of the Customer Experience team, the Service Desk Analyst provides advice and friendly, hands-on technical support to their customers in need. You quickly diagnose issues with their supported hardware, software, systems, and services on the spot, explaining situations with patience and compassion and offer solutions to quickly get users up and running again. You stay conscious of customer time demands as well as your own and can balance multiple projects at once. You earn the trust of customers and coworkers alike as you offer mentorship, knowledge, and training. You also educate your team members about their supported services and solutions, while independently keeping your own technical skills up to date. With your customer service talent and empathetic nature, you provide advice and support to both customers and team members.
This is a 3 month contract with chance to be extended. They are looking to hire asap!
