Job Title: Import Agent Location: Grove City , OH Zip Code: 43123 Start Date: ASAP Job Type: Contract to Hire Pay Rate: $22.00/hr DoE Keywords: #importjobs #operationssupportjobs An Import Agent position is available with a freight forwarding client in Grove City, OH. In this role you will be responsible for preparing import shipments for assigned customers. The ideal candidate will have worked in an import/freight forwarding company as well as proficient in Microsoft Excel. Responsibilities:

• Preparation of import shipments and distribution of Import/Export Documents
• Prepare import shipments for assigned customers. This may include customs clearance, shipping, labeling, and distribution of cargo.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery orders with customers, brokers, trucking companies, airlines, steamship line and/or bonded facilities as well as other branches and departments.
• Filing and data entry and issue freight bills and invoices to brokers and responsible for collecting unpaid invoices

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalency certificate
• Approximately 1-2 years department of freight forwarding industry experience preferred.
• Good communication & customer service skills, analytical skills, strong computer skills including data entry and maintenance working knowledge of general and import computer application technology, good organization skills, and detail orientated.
• The ability to learn in-house systems and applicable regulations, terms, and processes in timely manner.
• Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays as necessary
