POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our client, a leading law firm with a commitment to excellence and innovation, is seeking a government contracts attorney with 3 to 4 years of experience with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) handling leasing matters, including the competitive procurement phase and post-award lease administration matters. The ideal candidate should have experience working with the lease contracting staff of the GSA Public Buildings Service (PBS), including expertise in bid protests, claims, and appeals. Experience working with PBS legal staff in multiple regions and familiarity with the agency-wide operations of the PBS would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle leasing matters with the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) during the competitive procurement phase and post-award lease administration.
• Work with the lease contracting staff of the GSA Public Buildings Service (PBS).
• Provide expertise in bid protests, claims, and appeals.
• Collaborate with PBS legal staff personnel in multiple regions.
• Understand and navigate the agency-wide operations of the PBS.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 to 4 years of relevant experience.
• Admission to the DC Bar required.
• Strong knowledge of GSA leasing matters.
• Expertise in handling bid protests, claims, and appeals.
• Experience working with PBS and legal staff in multiple regions.
• Familiarity with the agency-wide operations of the PBS.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent academic credentials.

Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience.

Standard hours of work: Monday through Friday, 7:00AM–5:30PM. Some late nights and weekends may be required.

Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds at times.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
