gpac is partnered with a confidential dairy client looking for their next Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager near the Lansing, MI area.
This company prides itself on providing high-quality dairy products to food manufacturers across the country, making an impact on the dairy industry for 100+ years. They are actively seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager that will be responsible for all quality systems including FSMA, HACCP, and SQF. Including; regulatory compliance, implementation of programs and processes and ensuring food safety and quality of all ingredients and products.

Responsible for managing all aspects of Food Safety & Quality:
* Oversees all food safety regulations, policies, and procedures
* Manage and develop the Quality team
* FSMA, HACCP & food safety program compliance
* Internal audits, compliance with regulatory requirements & regulatory audits and customer audit support & compliance
* Strong leadership and training to promote a culture of continuous improvement
* GMP/Housekeeping
* Maintain the facilities GFI certification & SQF
* Oversite of all food safety & quality at the lab and processing facility
* Freedom to create programs and processes you see the best
* Acting member of the company's leadership team
This ideal candidate will hold:
* 5+ years of proven food safety & quality program management experience within a food manufacturing setting
* Leadership in safety and environmental programs
* Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting & training employees
* Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Food process engineering or related field preferred
* SQF Practitioner and PCQI certification preferred, not required
* Experience developing programs, processes, and training materials
