Requirements
Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated FSQA Specialist to ensure food safety and quality assurance are met in our innovative beverage technology company, particularly focusing on maintaining and enhancing product safety and quality delivered by the Botrista Pro.
Responsibilities:
Food Safety Programs:
● Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive food safety programs and protocols.
● Ensure strict adherence to local, state, federal, and international food safety regulations and standards.
● Ensure received, manufactured, and packaged products meet quality and food safety specifications.
● Assist in creating and maintaining detailed specifications for beverage products, including ingredients, formulation, and manufacturing processes, ensuring alignment with quality and regulatory standards.
Quality Assurance:
● Establish and oversee quality control measures, including product testing, sensory evaluations, and shelf-life assessments.
● Collaborate with the Supply Chain, Taiwan Team, and R&D teams to maintain and improve product quality and best-in-class food safety.
Machine and Chemical Management:
● Assist in Food Safety projects related to ingredient/machine cleaning cadence, and improvements in design.
● Understands chemical usage, and MSDS and develops chemical safety procedures. Work with chemical suppliers to improve chemicals used in the machine for better safety of customers and consumers.
Customer Audits and Documentation:
● Gather feedback and understand customers' behavior by auditing customer sites as needed.
● Sample ingredients, water, and drinks to ensure the quality and food safety standards are met at customer sites.
● Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints to determine root causes, provide responses, and determine corrective and/or preventative actions.
● Prepare a variety of routine and special reports that document testing activities, test results, and operational issues involving product quality and safety such as swab tests, finished product tests, and supplier audits.
Supplier and Vendor Management:
● Inspect incoming raw materials and ingredients as applicable
● Evaluate and manage supplier and vendor quality performance.
● Establish strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the quality and safety of incoming ingredients and materials.
Continuous Improvement:
● Stay informed about industry trends and innovations to maintain our commitment to excellence.
● Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities and recommending changes within their area of responsibility.
● Perform other duties as assigned. Special projects as assigned by the Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in food science, Microbiology, Biological Sciences, or related field.
Experience with Food Safety and Quality Assurance minimum of 2 years in food service or manufacturing. Organized with superior time management, communication skills, and ability to problem solve.

Equipment/Software Skills: Basic Google Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) experience, ERP software preferred, Basic computer skills and knowledge.
Certifications, Licences, Registrations : PCQI Certification, HACCP certified with a minimum of 2 years in the implementation.
Must be present in the SF office daily.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Education: Not necessary but a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in food science, Microbiology, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
● Knowledge and experience in FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and USDA regulations
Salary Range: $78,000 - $100,000
