EMC Test Technician
Overview
Nesco Resource has an opportunity for a EMC Test Technician to assist our client in a state of the art facility. As part of the lab operations, you will contribute to EMC/EMI tests that are executed as part of electronic hardware development and certification effort, including EMI/EMC, product safety, wireless/radio, wired telecom.

Summary
You will perform a variety of electromagnetic compatibility and interference compliance testing which includes setting up test equipment and customer equipment, performing testing to applicable standards or test plans, and accurately documenting the testing process and outcome.

• Determining compliance requires the understanding and application of test standards, diagnosing problems, analyzing results, and troubleshooting unexpected performance.
• Understand customer test plans and how to properly follow laboratory technical procedures and test specifications
• Set up and calibrate EMC testing equipment according to test specifications. and follow written specifications necessary for the proper performance of the test
• Interface and communicate with product development teams to ensure device compliance and client satisfaction
• Ensure all test equipment is functioning correctly and maintained properly.
• Analyze test data to determine compliance with EMC standards.

Skills / Qualifications:

• Previous experience with EMC testing for ITE products
• Proficient with  using Spectrum analyzers, signal generators, Oscilloscopes, multimeters and other routine test equipment
• Working knowkledge of CISPR, FCC, EN and related WW ITE test standards
• Competent with spreadsheet, word processors, email & and other routine office software
• HS diploma, GED or AS Degree  in related field
