Job Summary:

The Dump Truck Driver is responsible for the safe operation of a dump truck and the delivery of construction materials to job sites.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a dump truck to transport construction materials to job sites
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and driving regulations
• Communicate with dispatchers and other personnel regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
• Keep the truck clean and in good working condition
• Follow proper loading and unloading procedures to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of materials

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
• Previous experience as a dump truck driver
• Good driving record with no major violations
• Ability to safely operate a dump truck in various weather conditions
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safe driving practices
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Demands:

• Ability to frequently lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to bend, twist, and kneel as needed to perform vehicle maintenance and inspections.
