The Director of Strategic Planning will report directly tothe Chief Strategy Officer is responsible for leading and overseeing thedevelopment and execution of the Strategic Planning (STRAP) process andcompetitive intelligence initiatives for the enterprise. This role plays acritical role in shaping the long-term strategic direction of Honeywell andensuring its competitiveness in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the Strategic Planning (STRAP)process:
  • Lead the development and execution of the annual STRAP process, working closely with senior leadership and business units to define strategic objectives, goals, and initiatives.
  • Facilitate the alignment of business unit strategies with the overall corporate strategy.
  • Monitor and track progress against strategic goals and initiatives, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
Conduct competitive intelligence analysis:
  • Gather and analyze market and competitor data to identify trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on competitive intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies to maintain a competitive advantage in the market.
Foster collaboration and communication:
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and collaboration on strategic initiatives.
  • Communicate the strategic direction and progress to senior leadership, business units, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies that may impact Honeywell's strategic planning.
  • Benchmark and analyze best practices in strategic planning and competitive intelligence to drive continuous improvement.
MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic planning, corporate strategy, consulting, private equity, finance or related roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyze complex data and information.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a track record of developing and executing successful strategies.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven experience in competitive intelligence analysis and market research.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using strategic planning tools and software.
WE VALUE

  • Experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector (discrete manufacturing or process industries)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
