Job Description

Novant Health is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative student to join our Radiation Oncology Medical Physics team at the Weisiger Cancer Institute. This internship will focus on supporting the development and utilization of 3D-printed patient-specific medical devices for radiation oncology.

Duration : 12-month project with potential for extension.

• Educcation: Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of any STEM program, with a strong enthusiasm for 3D printing, required.
• Experience: Prior experience in 3D printing, preferred.
• Additional Skills Required : Ability to work on-site in the Charlotte area. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Assist in the operation and maintenance of a multi-jet printer from 3D Systems.

Participate in the design and production of custom medical devices.

Collaborate with medical professionals to understand device specifications and requirements.

Conduct research and present findings on the effectiveness of 3D printing applications in medical physics.
