Job Description:

St. Cloud State University is seeking applications for potential adjunct instructors who qualify to teach in the College of Health and Wellness Professions – Department of Kinesiology.

The Department of Kinesiology requests applications for part-time adjunct instructors for selected undergraduate and graduate courses in our Recreation and Sports Management, Coaching Minor and MS Sports Management and Sports Management-Coaching Emphasis programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Recreation, Sports Management, Kinesiology or related field
  • Experience in sports/sport science and/or recreation practical fields
  • The ability to teach days, weekends, and online
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Commitment to student engagement, mentoring and success
  • Evidence of demonstrating ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate or terminal OR Master's degree in field
  • Sports/Recreation industry experience
  • Knowledge of legal requirements in sport and /or recreation facilities and organizations
  • Previous experience teaching/coaching at the elite club level, post-secondary, university or college level for a minimum of 1-year
  • Active engagement in the professional community of your discipline
  • Use of technology in teaching/coaching instruction and or in online classes
