HOW A ABMS MBSE SYSTEMS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Responsible for the design, implementation, management and support of the organizations network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security and reliability of the network.
  • Designs and implements scalable and robust network solutions to support organizational needs.
  • Plans and executes network upgrades and expansion to ensure optimal performance and capacity.
  • Monitors network performance and troubleshoots and resolves highly complex problems to maintain operating efficiency and ensure quality transmission service on the network.
  • Uses subject matter expertise to diagnose and solve issues and has authority to deviate from standard operating procedures.
  • Provides technical guidance to IT staff and end users regarding network related issues.
  • Develops and implements network security policies and procedures to protect the organizations data and resources.
  • Configures and maintains network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and wireless access points.
  • Implements and manages security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems and VPNs.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including data protection and privacy requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelors (IT/Computer Science)
Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience
Required Technical Skills: Included but not limited to, Cisco switches, IP Address Management, network security, patch management, STIGs, IAVM, ACLs, IPSec, NIST publications, etc.
Security Clearance Level: Top Secret with SCI eligibility
Required Skills and Abilities: IAT Level II certification in accordance with DoD 8140.01M Cyberspace Workforce (i.e., Security +)
Location: Hampton, Virginia

The likely salary range for this position is $166,280 - $224,968. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
